Al Fox

At a young age Al enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. Upon his return, Al began a career in the automobile industry. After starting as an automobile salesman, Al quickly climbed the ranks to become the general manager of a Ford dealership in Pasadena, Texas. Before long, Al owned a Dodge dealership in Fort Worth, Texas, which he operated until a career change into the real estate industry. With his wife, Sondra “Sam” Fox, Al entered the real estate industry by managing over 200,000 apartment units, in addition to several hotels and motels. From real estate management, Al ventured into real estate brokerage. In 1974, Al formed Qualified Properties, Inc. and has since sold hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial real estate. In addition, Al serves in the general partner capacity in a number of real estate investment partnerships and is a principal in and has been an integral part of the development of a 600-acre master-planned community in League City, Texas. Over the last 40 years, Al has enjoyed serving his community through his participation in various corporate directorships and positions related to local government. While in the real estate management business, Al served on the board of directors of the Houston Apartment Association. Additionally, Al has served on a number of boards in the banking industry, including serving as a director of Sterling Bank, Peoples Bank, Texas Independence Bank, and Southwest Bank of Texas (now Amegy Bank). Furthermore, Al served on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Pasadena, Texas for over 14 years.
